Preliminary Snow Map
A Strong Storm will strike the Plains Thursday. It will actually weaken as it moves towards the northeast (its on the end of its life cycle). Thunderstorms will rotate up into the cold air over northern Kansas and southern Nebraska, where over a foot of snow is possible. Amounts will then taper off as you head northeast, as the storm become more and more occluded. Just how quickly the storm weakens will play a major role in exact snow totals. However, a broad area of 2-6" outside the heavy snow looks likely. Stay tuned for updates
